Objective: Our purpose at Casa Hogar Alegre is to provide a safe and loving refuge where children and youth from Chiapas, coming from backgrounds of conflict and abandonment, can find hope and transformation. We strive to equip our youth with the necessary tools to become empowered leaders and agents of change, capable of breaking cycles of hopelessness and contributing to a more just and prosperous society.

Casa Hogar Alegre invites you to participate in a life-transforming service experience at Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas. Near the Guatemala Border.
The story of this special place really began when Mama Liz was 13 years old and her family decided to move from Mexico City to the city of Tuxtla Gutiérrez in Chiapas. Her father was a missionary and a deeply committed Christian man who was called to leave Mexico City and preach the word of God in the Chiapas area of Mexico.
Volunteer Groups
Another way in which you can help is by volunteering your time at Casa Hogar Alegre. We receive groups of all nationalities that prepare activities and lessons for children. They play games, teach values, share friendship and God’s love with them. They also do projects to improve the facilities, such as painting, gardening, carpentry, etc. It is a lifechanging experience for everyone that visits.
